Servings: 24 pieces

Ingredients:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400ºF degrees.
  2. Pop leftover turkey into the bowl of your food processor and pulse a couple of times to break up the meat.
  3. Add the rolled oats and pulse until well combined.
  4. Add the egg and yogurt and pulse until the mixture starts holding together.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a large bowl.
  6. Add your veggies and parsley and mix with your hands until incorporated.
  7. Roll into 1” balls and place on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes or until just becoming golden around the edges.

Note: Dogs don’t need much sodium that’s why we make sure to remove the skin of the turkey.

2. Instant Pot Turkey Bone Broth for Dogs

Servings: 3 quarts

Ingredients:

  • Optional: 3 turkey necks or 6 feet;
  • 1 turkey carcass;
  • 4 celery stalks;
  • carrots or 1 cup of baby carrots;
  • 1 cup roughly chopped fresh parsley or 1/4 cup dried;
  • 2 tbsp dried sage;
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar;
  • water.

Instructions:

Optional: If using the turkey necks or feet, you need to roast them first.

  1. Preheat the oven to 400ºF degrees.
  2. Grease a roasting pan with olive oil and add the turkey necks and feet.
  3. Add the veggies too.
  4. Bake for 40-60 minutes until you get some nice color on the meat.
  5. Place the meat and bones in the instant pot, layering the veggies and herbs on top.
  6. Pour the vinegar over, then top up the bowl with water to the max fill line.
  7. Set the instant pot for 4 hours.
  8. Remove solids from the broth with tongs.
  9. Pour the broth through a mesh colander into a bowl.
  10. Place broth in the fridge until the fat rises to the top and the broth thickens. Overnight works great. Lastly, scrape the fat off the top of the broth and discard.

Tip: Serve broth warmed or cold over your dog’s favorite meal, or just by itself. You can freeze it, too!
